Vascudyne to Present Breakthrough Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Research at Heart Valve Society Conference

Three Presentations Highlight 18-Month Preclinical Data and Performance of Tissue-Engineered Technology

CAIRO, EGYPT – April 15, 2025 – Vascudyne announced that its research and development team will present groundbreaking preclinical data on the company’s transcatheter tissue-engineered pulmonary valve at the Heart Valve Society Conference, April 16-19 in Cairo. The presentations will showcase significant advances in the company’s proprietary tissue engineering platform, marking another important milestone in Vascudyne’s mission to revolutionize cardiovascular care.

Dr. Zeeshan Syedain, PhD, along with R&D team members Abrielle Prunty and Jake Benkofske, will deliver three compelling presentations demonstrating the performance and regenerative capabilities of Vascudyne’s transcatheter pulmonary valve technology. The presentations include “18 Months In Vivo Hemodynamic Performance of a Transcatheter Tissue Engineered Pulmonary Valve Implant in Juvenile Sheep Model” on Wednesday, April 16th at 11:45AM, and “Regeneration and Calcification of a Transcatheter Tissue Engineered Pulmonary Valve after 18-month Implant In Juvenile Sheep” at 12:00PM the same day. Additionally, the team will present comparative data in “Comparison Of Biomechanical And Hydrodynamic Properties Of Tissue Engineered Heart Valve To Bovine And Porcine Pericardium Tissue Valves” as a display ePoster.

The 18-month preclinical data represents one of the longest-duration studies of transcatheter tissue-engineered heart valves in a juvenile animal model, providing critical insights into the long-term performance, hemodynamics, and regenerative potential of Vascudyne’s innovative technology. These presentations underscore the company’s commitment to advancing tissue-engineered solutions that could transform treatment options for patients requiring heart valve replacement, particularly in pediatric applications where growth potential is essential. The Heart Valve Society Conference provides an ideal platform for Vascudyne to share these significant research achievements with the global cardiovascular community and demonstrate the clinical potential of its breakthrough tissue engineering approach.
