Vascudyne Announces First in Human Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting Clinical Study
Vascudyne is proud to announce the first in human coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) of its bioengineered blood vessels, marking the first-ever CABG implantation of a 100% biological and lab-grown tissue in patients.
The clinical procedures were performed by Adrian Ebner, MD, Director of Endovascular and Cardiovascular Surgery at Sanatorio Italiano in Asuncion, Paraguay, and his team. Vascudyne’s 100% biological tissues were successfully implanted in triple bypass surgeries, along with left internal mammary artery and great saphenous vein. These first in human implants mark a groundbreaking milestone in regenerative medicine, paving the way for transformative progress in cardiovascular treatment.
