University of Minnesota startup Vascudyne to commercialize biologic engineered tissue with potential to transform medical device technology
December 03, 2018University of Minnesota Technology Commercialization announces the launch of Vascudyne Inc. based on technology developed by University researcher Robert Tranquillo, Ph.D., professor in the departments of Biomedical Engineering and Chemical Engineering & Materials Science in the College of Science and Engineering, and researchers in his lab.
The completely biological, off-the-shelf engineered tissue technology has been awarded several patents and has been successfully used in University preclinical studies as a heart valve and a vascular graft, demonstrating unprecedented somatic growth.
